Feedback Sought on Bone Spavin
Members of the RVC are currently conducting a survey into how equine practitioners in the UK diagnose, treat and follow-up osteoarthritis of the distal tarsal joints (bone spavin) in their patients.
David M. Bolt, Dr. med. Vet., MS, FHEA, DACVS, DECVS, MRCVS and Vicky Simon Bsc have created the five-minute survey and equine vets across the country are urged to take part.
Bone spavin is a consistently common reason for hind limb lameness in both competitive and domestic horses. It is hoped that the results of this study will increase understanding of the condition.
