Dog Walker Shortlisted for Award
London business, Bruce’s Dog Walking, has been shortlisted as a finalist in the London Business Awards.

A finalist in the category for Business Innovation, the nomination comes following the expansion of Bruce Casalis’ dog walking business into Doggy Day Care.

Bruce’s Dog Walking has been shortlisted based on it’s innovative offering of a country life for a London dog. The day care centre offers a safe alternative to the vast majority of dog walkers operating in local parks. With a swimming pool, five acres of fenced play area, an agility course, indoor enclosure with dog beds, an air-conditioned Mercedes van with vet approved crates and 30 acres of private fields for dog walking, Bruce’s Dog Walking Doggy Day Care Centre provides a dog’s equivalent to paradise.

Proprietor and young entrepreneur Bruce Casalis is proud to be nominated. “It’s an honour to be shortlisted for a Business Innovation Award. This nomination proves that you don’t need a revolutionary idea to create a successful business. Adding an innovative concept to the simplicity of dog walking has meant that I’ve been able to build a successful business.”

The agreement, which will change the movement and trade of animals and related products, could see reductions in checks, paperwork and certification. As well as describing regulatory developments, the advice highlights the importance of animal ID, registration and traceability in disease control and other compliance arrangements.

The guidance can be found here. More detail is expected as negotiations progress.

The House of Lords Environment and Climate Change Committee will launch its inquiry into Pet Parasite Medication (PPM) on Wednesday (3 June).

Focusing on treatments containing fipronil and imidacloprid, the inquiry will seek to understand distribution pathways and the impacts of PPM use and non-use on biodiversity and human health. It will also cover current regulation, monitoring, and the potential implications for pets and their owners.

The committee will hear evidence from environmental non-governmental organisations and research institutes. The public can follow the proceedings live on Parliament TV or in person in the Palace of Westminster.
