Good Dogs Live Longer
Different breeds of dogs are known for their different personalities, feeding behaviour and longevity – and these represent what is predicted by the ‘pace-of-life’ syndrome hypothesis. One interesting finding from this research showed that obedient breeds - on average - live longer than disobedient breeds, and that aggressive breeds have higher energy expenditure.



Two independent vets have launched a podcast to help owners strengthen their bond with pets. Dr Maggie Roberts and Dr Vanessa Howie, who have worked in both veterinary practice and major charities, are keen to use their experience to enable people to give pets a better life.
