Past president Iain Lorraine and new president Rebekka Fiorani
The Veterinary Practice Management Association (VPMA) is celebrating after record attendance to their annual congress.

The event, which took place just outside Oxford, was the 16th annual congress, providing a programme of lectures to inform delegates about all aspects of veterinary practice management and development.

Highlights included an inspirational opening talk from Pete Goss, International Yachtsman, former Royal Marine and winner of a Legion d’Honneur for saving another sailor in the middle of a race after turning his yacht round and sailing into hurricane force winds for two days. In addition to interesting lectures, workshops and debates delegates could also engage in extending their social networks and enjoying the ambience of congress. A networking party attracted 70 delegates and 150 attended a dinner dance.

Saturday morning also saw the welcome address and inauguration of the VPMA’s new president Rebekka Fiorani. She replaces Iain Lorraine who has now become Senior Vice President.
