BVNA celebrates its 50th year
Fiona Andrew will provide updates through a new President's Blog.
For the BVNA, 2015 will be a year of celebration as it marks its 50th anniversary. President Fiona Andrew hopes to celebrate what the association has achieved so far, whilst looking to the future.
“2015 is a pretty momentous year for the veterinary nursing profession and I feel very honoured to be representing our members at this key time," she says.
"We have campaigned for a long time on professional status for veterinary nurses and it is so gratifying to see this come to fruition with the new Royal Charter being introduced in our 50th year.
"There’s still much to be done though, and we’re looking forward to sharing our aims and achievements for 2015 with members and the rest of the profession."
BVNA has kicked off the celebrations by expanding its advice for members. The change comes as a result of feedback from a consultation last year. Additional information can now be found on the BVNA website on mental health support, the Members' Advisory Service, peer-to-peer support and financial help.
The BVNA's newly-relaunched website also now includes a President's Blog - through which Fiona Andrew will provide updates.
There is also an increased focus on the association's campaigning and lobbying activities.
